One of the focuses is the family planning program. The high birth rate in Indonesia is evidence of the low number of family planning acceptors, especially men, including health reasons, fear of side effects of contraceptives, rejection from partners or family, religious reasons and many others. The aim of this activity is to produce an alternative complementary therapy offered by STIKES Mitra Husada Medan students to overcome this problem, namely the COCITEA product, namely tea made from natural ingredients of bougainvillea flowers and stevia leaves. Bougainvillea flowers, which are a traditional plant of choice, have potential antifertility activity, so water extracts and decoctions of this plant can be used as fertility controllers. Meanwhile, stevia leaves Stevia is a natural sweetener as a substitute for sugar. Stevia leaves also do not contain calories and can be used as an alternative for consumers who do not want or cannot consume granulated sugar/cane sugar, such as diabetes sufferers and people who are on a diet program. The results of previous research that we conducted using a literature review in google sclolar showed that the antifertility properties of B. spectabilis inhibit the spermatogenic pathway which causes a decrease in the number, motility and viability of sperm in men and women by disrupting the estrus cycle. This plant also reduces the sex hormones testosterone and estrogen. Not only that, the bogenville plant has been proven to have anticancer, antidiabetic, antihepatotoxic, anti-inflammatory, antihyperlipidemic, antimicrobial, antioxidant and antiulcer properties which have many benefits for body health. The conclusion from the results of our analysis is that the COCITEA product is a very promising business and is worthy of being realized because this production started from market needs and opportunities as well as a lack of knowledge regarding the use of natural resources and market opportunities which are very close because we as health workers, especially midwifery services at this time before and after pregnancy, and from the results of our team's survey there are no competitors or no competitors for similar products because from the results of the mini research we conducted through online shopping we have not found any similar products. |
